Samsung launches Galaxy S i9000

This afternoon, Samsung Philippines partnered with Globe Telecom to launch their newest Android-powered smartphone — the Samsung Galaxy S i9000.

The Samsung Galaxy S i9000 is a 9.9mm-thin handset powered by Google’s Android 2.1 OS. The screen is 4-inch super AMOLED running a 1GHz processor. It comes with the Social Hub where the Phone Book and Inbox are integrated to social networking sites like Facebook or Twitter.

16GB / 8GB storage, 512MB RAM, external memory slot (upto 32GB)

The Samsung Galaxy S will be exclusively available to Globe subscribers, who can get it for free with Plan 2499 (from June 30 to July 31, 2010 only). After the promo period, it will be available for free at Plan 3799.

New subscribers will also get one month Super Surf for free. The prepaid kit costs Php32,995 with 5-day free unlimited web surfing.
