Have you ever wanted to bid on a cool, awesome gadget? Like an iPad, a Playstation Portable, or the latest in MP3 players? Have you ever wanted to win that item for the lowest bid, instead of paying big bucks just to get your hands on it?
Time for something awesome, friends! So Manila, TAWAD NA!
More details after the jump!
Manila Tawad Na! is an SMS-based reverse bidding auction service where you can bid for a cool gadget on auction every day. Unlike other auction services where the item goes to the highest bidder, Tawad Na! gives the item to the bidder with the lowest unique bid. To use Tawad!, simply send TAWAD[space]AMOUNT and send to 2350. You can bid anywhere from P1 to P5,000, with or without centavos. Each bid costs P2.50, but you can find out what item is up for bidding for FREE by sending TAWAD[space]ITEM to 2350.

When someone else sends the same bid/price/amount as that of a bid you sent in earlier that was unique, you will receive an outbid alert. An outbid alert will let you know that your previous bid is no longer unique, and therefore you must try bidding again for a chance to be able to buy the cool item for the day at your bid price. Outbid alerts are FREE.

Tawad Alerts are FREE alerts sent to everyone who has ever bid using the Tawad! Service. They are sent to you to inform you of the current day’s new cool item up for bidding; along with the previous day’s auctioned item, who won the bid, and how much the user gets to buy the item for.
17. How do I unsubscribe from or stop receiving Tawad Alerts?
You may choose to stop receiving FREE Tawad Alerts by sending TAWAD STOP to 2350.
18. Are Tawad Alerts and Outbid Alerts the same?
No, Tawad Alerts let you know the day’s auctioned item and details of the previous day’s lowest unique bid. Outbid alerts, on the other hand, inform you that someone else has sent in a previously unique bid that you have sent in.
19. How do I subscribe to Tawad Alerts and Outbid Alerts?
Outbid alerts are a premium feature of the Tawad Na! service offered to all users, hence you will readily receive a free outbid alert the moment someone else sends in the same bid that you previously sent and was found to be unique at that time. There is also no opt-out keyword for outbid alerts, you may call the Paysetter hotline (02 6313413) and ask a representative to unsubscribe you from outbid alerts.
