Huawei brought their own 4G solution to the Philippines via LTE Road Show

For three days that ended on September 3, Huawei Technologies Philippines introduced their 4G LTE network in the country via their LTE Technology Road Show. This Road Show helped the Philippines’ mobile industry get better acquainted with Huawei’s LTE technology and gain a better understanding of its potential and its business advantages.

LTE, or Long-Term Evolution, is a mobile technology that delivers faster data speeds and new services by creating a new radio access technology that is optimized for IP-based traffic. It also offers operators a simple upgrade path from 3G networks.

Visitors to Huawei’s LTE Technology Road Show had the opportunity to experience the latest mobile broadband solutions offered by Huawei through live demos, interactive gaming, high-definition (HD) video streaming, and a showcase of Huawei smartphones powered by Android.

“By bringing Huawei’s LTE Technology Road Show to the Philippines, we were able to showcase Huawei’s involvement in the evolutionary development of mobile technology, and to give visitors a way to experience the possibilities that LTE technology can bring, such as interactive gaming and HD video streaming on the go.”, says Yang Hua, President of Huawei Technologies Philippines.

Too bad we weren’t able to experience their 4G solution but based on trials in the US with Verizon, if 3G networks can go up to 1.5 Mbps downstream, 4G LTE can do 5-12 Mbps.

PLDT? SMART? Globe? Please bring the real 4G here soon.
